I currently have my SBT hooked up to Aktimate Mini speakers via the
analog connection. They sound fantastic whether using analog or a DAC
in between (in my case, I have the Audioengine D1). I tend to keep the
SBT at about 85% volume and use the Aktimate remote control or the knob
on the front of

SBT - Meridian DSP5500 , digital into the speakers , use the speakers
vol control.
SBT -MDAC- ATC scm50a's ..use the DAC's vol control
SBT - KrK Ergo - KrK VX/T 8's , SPDIF into Ergo , use the ergos master
volume in combination with the SBT.

I've done a little testing on my Windows PC. So far looks very good, no
