I currently have my SBT hooked up to Aktimate Mini speakers via the analog connection. They sound fantastic whether using analog or a DAC in between (in my case, I have the Audioengine D1). I tend to keep the SBT at about 85% volume and use the Aktimate remote control or the knob on the front of the left speaker as the volume control.
I've also tried the SBT with my old Klipsch iFi system, which has been long discontinued.
