I have used the touch into various actives. SBT - Meridian DSP5500 , digital into the speakers , use the speakers vol control. SBT -MDAC- ATC scm50a's ..use the DAC's vol control SBT - KrK Ergo - KrK VX/T 8's , SPDIF into Ergo , use the ergos master volume in combination with the SBT.
Of all the systems , the KRK ergo + VXT8's is probably the most versatile and the best value for money.
