I imagine other MOG subscribers received this email today from Ian C

I'm not a fan of the Beats Dr Dre headphones, but it sounds as if the
streaming service could be a good product. It's interesting to me that
they put so much emphasis
Hm, call me a cynic, but that human curated music part is the one I
like the least, it sounds like we will try to bring the old 'record
companies buy their way to user's ears' business model back to the
modern age'
I do listen to music curated by actual humans I know and trust - my

Thanks for the response. I'll continue to look around for how to ask
LMS what it is delivering.
Follow on question - what happens when LMS is feeding two touch's - one
with edo and 192 capable dac and one stock? I read somewhere that LMS
in that scenario would

In my opinion, i do not think that the new Beats service will just dump

Whoops! There goes all my playlists. Guess I was too optimistic about
Beats. I ,for one, am disappointed. Sill have Rhapsody though.
Maybe some kind soul will pick up this need and create a tool to convert
playlists between services. I've seen this for Deezer - Spotify
before. It should be

Thanks garym I am familiar with the PLUGINS page. Strangely that option
is missing too ? Not a word of 3rd Party plugins on the page ? I haven't
reinstalled the server software yet which I guess I should but really
don't want to go through set up again.
I have managed to get

or do you mean plugins, that are installed with LMS?
I guess so. I just took over the terminology used here:

But its true, that it is more a plug-in than an app, but I
Recently had more of these made up for ebay so let me know if anyone
wants any?
'Custom Squeezebox Touch Wall Mount's Available'

Hmm, I really don't like this silicone idea. I have one and even that I
am technically skilled, it is still not an ideal mounting solution for
this amount of money. What if you have to take the Touch down, say for
any maintenance, cable rework, etc? Just glueing it to the wall is not a
mounting
So... is there a way to back it up?
I mean... something like a file, that I could store on an sd-card and
that could be reinstalled from there. Somehow like the TT-Toolbox, that
can be installed over the network (that I don't use btw, just to give
you the example). I'm sure, one must be able to

yes that is correct. It is ONLY when the two players are synched

Thanks.

Thanks for the detailed description. I have apple losssless set to
native and flac (within the apple lossless server setting) set to
sox/faad. Stock touch is now handling 192 alac file I presume by
down-sampling from LMS, and edo touch delivering indicated 192 on same
alac 192 file.

On touch with edo and touch without edo, when i go to more info it
gives me the file's encoded sample rate, but does NOT tell me if
down-sampling is taking place. For instance, touch with edo playing 192
alac file tells me apple

Well, now. I did some listening tests between FLAC and WAVE and I
couldn't believe how inferior sounding the FLAC was in comparison. It
just hit me right away, in no time at all. I figured they would either
sound the same or one MIGHT sound better than the other, but it would
take me some time to
