So I did. The install worked, and using the USB connection reduced, but
did not eliminate, the problem. Instead of losing a second or two

I understand it is the DAC, but short of sending that back, my only
option is to find

This has probably been answered in this thread but my search didn't find
it.
In the testing I did earlier today, it appeared that selecting that as a
source activated the coaxial, optical and analog connections
simultaneously, but not the USB connection. Query as to (1) whether it
can transmit f
I own a squeezebox touch and have a deezer premier+ account. I am
thinking about buying a squeezebox boom to sync with the touch but want
to use my deezer account for both. Does this use up 1 or 2 of my 3
deezer allowances? Please help. Not sure if I want to buy it if it takes
up more than one.
If they are synced, not playing independent streams, they should only
use up one, the Touch will even act as a proxy if you are using
MySqueezebox.com.
Note that AFAIK this only works with the touch, if you use other
Squeezebox combinations you'd have to use LMS to only use one stream.
Of course

Just did some more experimenting (with 7.7.3). When I select digital
out using coax or USB out, I can get 192khz. When I select
digital+analog I can only get 96khz on coax (i.e. the same as a non-EDO
SBT). For the moment, I am leaving EDO installed as it increases my
options, although it doesn'

You could consider PowerLine ethernet.
If the bandwith is somewhat weak via wi-fi or powerplugs . Make sure you
send natively flac and does not transcode to wav on the server .

Yes in the file types setting , but if you did not know you probably
have not changed anything there .
I just assumed that you had flac files , maybe your hires files was
something else .
But most likely 24/196 over wifi is marginal a
