Tried other cables, other amp-in etc. etc. Only noise.
The headphone out, through a mini-RCA-cable: same noise, no music at
all.
Seems to me it is broken, what do yuo think?

and now the machine is reliable, a pleasure to use and a good
step up in sound quality compared to the Classic.
A a Classic replacement it is great, as a stand alone machine not
nearly reliable enough for a consumer product. But I wouldn't want to
miss it.

the Touch, and the Touch would not work with the HD anymore.
Conclusion: the squeezepack supplied more power then the standaard PS.

to buy a
replacement high quality PSU in the near(ish) future.
In short, brilliant piece of kit.
That is my experience too; after having tried the Touch in standalone I

Dura, give the Touch some time.
Our brains get used to a certain sound, and when we change a component
we often (subconsciously) don't like the sound b/c it is different, and
our reference sound is the sound we are used to.
Try listening only to the Touch for a few
in the near future or should I look for a
different solution?
Tom
But doesn't the Asrock PC have wireless, or am I missing something?

some warmth, that the Classic did provide, probably by adding some
euphonic distortion.
The end result was the Classic sounded, in my system and to my ears,
more enjoyable.
