Good news: I have replaced the original IR module in my SB Touch with a
new one and *now it works perfectly again*!
Technical information:

part. I'm not sure if 38 or 40kHz is best (Logitech writes 40kHz but

If only I knew how to switch off the Wi-Fi!

THE TECHNICAL SIDE
A SqueezeBox Radio just next to the Touch works perfectly with the same
remotes ==> it is definitively a problem in the Touch.
Yes, IR sensors are usually very reliable, but the failure can be
anywhere in the chain between the photodiode/transistor and the digital
signal, so the
... there are many devices whose schematics are not published
officially, but still available on the internet...
After all, Logitech has destroyed the SqueezeBox line, so they could at
least publish the schematics... if they want to sell something again to
their frustrated SB customers like me.
Hello
I have tried all possible resets and power-offs. There is no IR sender
which could perturbate in the room.
The problem looks like the value of some components drifting somewhere
between the sensor (diode?), filtering circuitry (is there any?) and
decoding chip.
The minimum to have a small
Hello
After 5 years of faithful service, my Squeezebox Touch has developed a
problem.
-The IR remote control only works when i hold the remote very near to
the Touch, and it seems to become worse every day-.
As the problem happens with several remotes (two original SB remotes and

Thank you. That's the way I was doing it but I hoped you had found an
easier way!!!

Hello Harmony895
Did you find an "easy" way of doing it and if yes, how?
Thanks

ICH CAN BE ACTIVATED UNDER \"CUSTOMIZE THE HOME
MENU\".
I CAN CHOOSE THE PODCASTS ON THE WEB INTERFACE OF SBS. THERE, I CAN ADD
THE TO THE FAVORITES OF THE SB TOUCH, BUT THIS IS NOT A SATISFACTORY
SOLUTION.
[B]HELP!!!!!
for a slogan: "*Squeezebox, the anti-iPhone - it can do
everything you want but you will never find out how!*"

Vi
m the favorites menu on the SB
Touch - even without having to change manually from SBS to mysqueezebox
each time, incredible, that's ergonomy!
I would be so glad if I knew where to find instructions on how to
achieve such elementary tasks without having to try for hours every
time...
Patrick
Hey, is there nobody who can answer this question?!?
Once again, a little documentation from Logitech would help... what's
the use of a podcast plugin if I cannot use it from the Touch/Radio?!?
Or are we missing something?!?
