again this morning. I tried to move the Switch Library menu
to the home page using your directions and as soon go My Music it tries
to connect to my computer and then I get the error message that it can't
find my computer. And I am getting the update prompts as you described.

when you use av you're referring to Avast? If so I do use
it but after going through all the settings I can't find anything
regarding new programs. Appreciate any other thoughts about this or
anything else to fix this issue.

the player but today it hasn't. I'm using Firefox as a
browser and there have been no changes to anything on my computer. It
is a wireless connection. Would appreciate any thoughts for this
frustrating issue.

And when I went through the factory reset the Touch did find my network.
Now when I tried to play My Music it asked me download SS software at
mysqueezebox.com which I'm in the process of doing.

Well after downloading software I can now play my music. Have no idea

FWIW problem solved(at least for tonight) by downloading version 7.5.5.
Haven't a clue but I guess a lot of the newer versions of the server
are pretty buggy.

Thanks for addressing this.
When I try to do a clear and rescan it defaults to Look For New Music.
Seemingly won't let me choose clear and rescan.
When you say use another computer to delete the directory, how exactly
would I do that?

Looks like I finally got it to scan. Opened up the control panel and
cleaned up the cache and that seemed to do the trick.

This has been a known problem since day 1. Do a search. Some have had
luck when connecting a HDD to the Touch, but most have the same problem
you do. There are no known fixes at this point.

got songs cut off. I'm a
novice at this type of stuff. I rip using iTunes using Apple lossless.

Figured it out. I had the setting for Now Playing to show 1000 songs.
Evidently that was too much for the server. When I reduced it to 100 it
worked fine.
Hopefully this will help anyone who might run into a problem.

38 looks and nobody has a thought or experience with this problem? So,
have others had no problem running random songs with a large HDD using
the normal SBS?

well I guess it is the beta version after all, ( I hope it is) because
this morning I experienced the same songs ending early issues with my
hard drive plugged into the Touch. So it looks like no fix after all.

Out of beta, I just downloaded it to my Touch server. Playing music from
a hard drive connected to the Touch and no issues, no early endings,
everything sounds great.

Does anybody know how to get the Ipeng app to work with the Touch when
an external hard drive plugged into the Touch? My Ipod finds my player
when I'm going through my computer but only sporadically finds it when
going directly through the Touch.
Any help would be appreciated.

on iPeng. Easy enough.
