I assume it is this router that is connected to the internet via it's
wan port.
If the player gets an ip thats not in 192.168.0.x it obviously gets it
all sorted now ta. had a spare home hub swapped it out can got 192.168
address again. wireless up and running happy days

On that last screenshot, why is the subnet mask 255.255.252.0?
It should be 255.255.255.0 !!

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal...
Touch(wired/XP) - Audiolense 3.3/2.0+INGUZ DRC - MF M1 DAC - Linn 5103
- full Aktiv
Also your dns and gateway ip addresses are all wrong.
Your router should be set to obtain dns address automatically from
ISP.
If your routers address is set to 192.168.0.1, this should also be your
gateway address...
In a normal home setup your router is also your gateway!

The reason for the router in the new room is to provide wireless access
in there. That way I can use Commander on my HTC desire for my
controlling the Touch.

Is there any easy way to reset the IP on the Touch without doing a
factory reset ? I would like it to have the 192.168.0.* range.
I was able to browse to it last night by fixing the IP on the wirless
adapter on the web book to the 192.168.2.* range.

No. Your best bet
OK guys I've taken the other two routers out of the equation.
There is an Ethernet cable from the homehub feeding the new room.
Factory reset done on the touch but now the touch is picking up the wan
ip address
86.22.8.103.
The homehub has been rebooted and it is set to dhcp

Previously I had a network drive mapped directly to the the usb drive
attached to my Touch as below.
media-sda1 on 'Squeezebox Touch - wacky (Wacky)'(Z:)
The issue I had was controlling the Touch using my HTC desire in the
new room due to week wireless signal.
I introduced a new wirless router
I think I may have fixed the ip previously using soundcheck's mod is
there a quick way to undo it without have to do a factory reset ?

Those mods don't go near the ip address!
Why have you got a router in your new room? surely you have an Ethernet
cable from there
The new router needs to be setup as a pure access point rather than as a
router so everything will be on the same subnet. You CAN play music
through a router but the auto discovery routines (the server and player
finding each other) do not work between subnets.
On many routers you can make it
