Nope, it's right there in the Touch's menus. I'm not near my Touch
right now, but I think it's under Settings Advanced.

I've written about my experiences with the Squeezebox Touch here in
Australia where its availability is scarce and (apparently) it is not a

As luck would have it I got my SB Touch in Aus today. Concur with your
review wholeheartedly. I've got all the SB's( Radios, Boom, Duet
extra controller)and I reckon the Touch is the best of the lot. I am
really taken by it. Its smaller than I thought it would be but

Hi John,
Nice review with no factual errors that I could find but one glaring
omission: no mention of the Touch's ability to play 24bit/88.296kHz
files. Sure that ability won't mean all that much to potential buyers
with lots of CDs to rip but as high resolution
Very nice review, and entertainingly written. Just a few factual nits to
pick, in the order they appear in the review:
1. The SB2 was released in 2005 (see
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Hardware_comparison), so you
probably bought it then, and not in 2004.
2. Re all playback formats

Excellent review! I enjoyed reading it, and as an owner of a variety of
Squeezeboxes, you got it spot on.
My only observation is that I think many in the audiophile world still
get too caught up in the external DAC game. I had a SB3 with a Lavry
and the external DAC did make enough of a

But yes, the internal DAC in the Touch is very good and certainly the
first I could happily listen to without the urge to slap an external

I sold my Lavry DA-10 about a month after I got the Touch. I haven't
looked back since. Just finished
Great review.
My brother-in-law brought a Touch for me from the USA when he visited
me in July.
I only started ripping my CD collection in FLAC in September. The SB
