Do you want me to write up a rough draft?
Awesome! I didn't try out unar because of the gnustep dependencies but this
should be in Ubuntu 12.10 (and Trisquel 6.5) by default due to them possibly
using Gnome 3.6. Hopefully the File Roller support is backported to older
releases too.
The problem with RAR format is it is only partially free. I'd guesstimate
half the situations a GNU/Linux user might actually need / desire it to
communicate data with others the free version doesn't work. It's commonly
complained about in certain scenes.
Good news: FileRoller will have RARv3 support in GNOME 3.6.

Better than this, we should have a wiki entry about community guidelines (I'd
rather have something much shorter than the debian ones) and link to them
from the forum headers. That way we can have it translated and updated if
needed.
Ok, I'm closing* the comments on this troll hole. Not only is it mostly
off-topic, but it revolves around bashing a person who isn't even part of the
conversation, and that is just rude.

You pitched your initiative as being based on your disagreement with RMS's
views on s*x(with which, like you, i'm also in total disagreement). But, your
website shows a totally different setup. And when I pointed it out, you have
being going on and on about religion.

+1 thumbs up. I will see if I can get attention to this.
Hi all,
recently I've been reading *odd* threads on this forum, from
discussions about religion and free software to rants about a given
wifi card not being supported by Trisquel (i.e. free software).
I really think it's time to add a sticky post that clearly explains

It is not a parody. It is a fundamental difference of foundation.

I don't know if this is serious or a parody. I'm really curious because this
seems in response to RMS fully supporting

A religious free software foundation is really going to catch on.
RMS also has personal views where he believes pedophilia and necrophilia
should be legalized, provided all parties involved are in agreement. I
have personally written to him and verified this quote is accurate, and
not taken out of context. It is his belief.

This topic is not constructive because you just ignore what people wrote to

You reminded me that I sent an email a while back about the possibility of
funding your project. Don't think there was a response though. In any case I
thought this would be a good time to donate a €100. We might have some more
regular donations coming your way although thats what we have for
