Unveiling the Samsung Galaxy back-door

Yesterday, we disclosed our findings about the Samsung Galaxy back-door, an
anti-feature found in Samsung Galaxy devices that lets the modem access t
Thanks, that gives me a start.
That's good to know.
Just so you know, the repository is over 500 GB!

Great! Thanks for the recommendation.
The repositories hosts not only pre-compiled packages but their sources too
(deb-src). You just need to enable those repositories (from
/etc/apt/sources.list). The NetInstall is, I believe, the metapackages
trisquel-base and trisquel-base-recommended (and, obviously, their
dependences).
I believe you must use apt-mirror (in Trusquel's repositories).
Those sold by ThinkPenguin all perfectly work. Besides, by following this
link, 25% of the benefits on your purchase go to the Trisquel project:

Greetings,
I'd like to compile the Trisquel 6 console installation from source code. My
search for how this can be done yielded no results. I suspect that I will
need to know:
1. What source code is installed as part of the console installation
2. Where I can find this source code

Greetings,
I'm interested in having a local mirror of the Trisquel 6 repository for
onsite up-to-date installs. Can someone please please point me to some
documentation on how to set this up myself. My search didn't yield any
results.
Greetings,
Can someone please recommend a mini USB wifi adapter that does not require
non-free software. This one:

unfortunately does.
Thanks for the tips. I knew about /etc/default/grub and nano
/etc/X11/default-display-manager but dpkg-reconfigure
the_display_manager_you_have is new to me.
Thank you for the welcome.
Yes, I know that X is a GUI and no I don't care for graphical user

am going to do web programming in JavaScript that I need to use a modern web
browser, which in turn needs a GUI environm
I've never heard of i3. I will give that a try. Thanks for the suggestion.

What is wrong with XMPP? It was developed specifically for this use case but
people are still creating new protocols instead of using an interoperable
standard. It looks like Kontalk started out with their own protocol but have
switched to XMPP, which is good for them.
Telegram uses their o
I recommend using Kontalk [1] instead.
It's also available on F-Droid [2].
The only problem is that it asks for your cellphone number when setting
it up for the first time. As far as I know, the number is used to check
whether the cellphone using Kontalk is the same one which receives the
code.
Using TorBrowser will protect yourself from revealing any info about your
surfing to your ISP. However, it also has some disadvantages.
One question I have (it might be terribly stupid, lol), is if DNS is only
used when accessing "www.namewebsite.com" or if it is also used even if we

The first problem is because you run abrowser as root, which is a very bad
idea.
Spammers often use proxies. No idea how proxychains works.
I'm pretty sure the first answer is all that's needed: apt-get install
abrowser.
Anyway, try Lynx as well (apt-get install lynx).
"but you wrong: 0. Freedom to run the program AS YOU WISH."
I can run free parts Trisquel whichever way I want as I wish - but that
hasn't necesarrily got anything to do with running other programmes in
tandem, free or non-free, in my case NVIDIA's proprietary driver (and in a

to deactivate the display manager you also can go to:
nano /etc/X11/default-display-manager
and delete the only line you will find.
if you want to restore it you can write the line you have deleted or you can:
dpkg-reconfigure the_display_manager_you_have
