I noticed in today's upgrade (03/04) the order of the metacity's
"minimize" and "maximized" buttons changed.
In the old metacity the order was; minimize, maximize, close
In the new metacity the order is: maximize, minimize, close

As I installed community themes and I found the only way to locate the
package was through Syntapic search.
As Software Center becomes the desired software installation tool is

I'm new to blogging but the one interesting thing I discovered is how to
leverage flickr to enhance your posts. All of the images and the Night

As the author of Karmic Impression I suggest it not make the cut unless
someone else disagrees. Most of my effort went toward creating Night
Impression and IMO it adds the most value to ubuntu.

Karmic (Alpha 5) "Night Impression" theme is available on the Wiki.

away from the bold menu highlights to something light
and stylish. Ubuntu Netbook remix menus gave me the inspiration.
Other refinements include small changes to the toolbar and toolbar
buttons and fixing an issue with text highlighting.

In the case of Fedora I believe any existing team member can validate a
request for membership. I believe this will work for us but in all cases the
final decision is Ken's or Ken's delegate.

One thing I noticed is wiki response time is not as good as it should
be. A good example is the "WikiDesign" page.

Metacity
I made a minor tweak to the Impression Metacity theme. The close
prelight presentation was very bold so I backed it off by reducing the
size of the band.
The prelight band widths are now:
Close: 7px
Max: 3px
Min: 5px
By default the Widgets are 11px. In prelight they grow to 14px. When

widgets is not from OSX. The symbolism comes from the Ubuntu logo. As
the Impression theme design is based on Ubuntu, IMO it makes sense.
As the widgets are small it is difficult to craft icons which display
detail. However, if you hover your mouse over the widget a description

Jaunty Alpha 5 has a new and dramatically different GDM.
IMO the presentation is great with a large screen but a little cramp-y @
1024x768.
I really like the way Jaunty boots. It sounds like usplash will get some
attention in "9.10".
