Ok so I'm so exciting I spent new year's eve configuring the laptop. It's now a lamp server with dhcp and bind. I've told bind to steal archive.ubuntu.com and point it at the laptop where I can mount the USB drive and tah dah, it should work without having to tweak any new installs anywhere. In
