Good evening all,
After having the planet down for a while I was informed it wasn't due
to the drupal upgrade as I originally thought. The issue was a DNS
entry update that has now been completed. It should be working within
the next few hours again for everyone, apologies for the del
notice that no one
has submitted any content in over 2 months. We also have the team planet [1]
as mentioned as well to cover the more off topic type of information
presented by the team.

Good evening Ubuntu-AU'ers,
Just a quick note to let you the planet update that just occurred has now
been completed. There were a few little errors that have just come back as
fixed (bwright's icon was HUGE and valorin's was missing) so if everyone
that is on the planet can check
Stephen,
What Michael said is one way to go about it, but it doesn't have to be
only "on topic". If you look over the posts that are there now you
will see it's not all specifically Ubuntu related. It's meant be a
window into the world, work & lives of Ubuntu developers, contributors
and users. I'

HI Jared,
I know some planets have restrictions where all posts need to be
related to the planet topic (i.e. Ubuntu in this case), or there are
some things you can't talk about on them.
Do we have any sort of restrictions on ours?
If this question has been done to death, sorry about
Good morning/afternoon/evening Ubuntu-AU'ers,
I've had a request to add someone to the Ubuntu-AU Planet so I thought
I'd ask around to see if anyone else wanted adding or changing while
we're at it. For those of you who aren't sure what the planet is,

Tiago Faria has added the Planet Ubuntu Australia to the planetarium
listings on Planet Ubuntu Users ( http://ubuntuweblogs.org/ ) and Ubuntu
Universe ( http://ubuntuweblogs.org/universe/ ). This may attract some
additional readers to the planet.
My blog has been added to both the
Thanks, doing that now.
Should have searched the mailing list first.

I'm currently composing a list of feeds to be added to the planet, and
yours could be part of this. All you need to do is follow this simple
procedure.
* Compose an email that contains:
- Your name
- The URL of your blog home page

Hi all,
I know the mythbuntu ISOs are great, but I think people going to
planet.ubuntu.org.au would much rather read my rants :)
Hopefully someone who can fix the DNS/apache config is on the list.
Cheers

its an interesting point. if you goto http://planet.ubuntu.org.au you can't
seem to find too much about adding your blog to the planet. I thought
people were just posting directly to it, but it looks like the site is
actually aggregating feeds. pretty cool

I was not sure who the best person to contact was, I suspect it is
Melissa Draper (at least regarding the planet) so I thought I would send
it out on the mailing list.
Thanks for your time.
