I'll third it. I have Mythbuntu 7.10 Gutsy frontend that upgraded itself to Mythtv v0.21, and now it can't access the database on my backend, which is Kubuntu 7.04 Feisty. If I'd known that that they were incompatible I wouldn't have let it do it, but it's a bit late now! My frontend is making

Yeah, that's the same situation I was in (mythbuntu 7.10 backend machine upgraded to .21, and Kubuntu 7.04 as the frontend machine). I went ahead and compiled Mythtv from source and made a deb package using checkinstall (until we get the official backport.) If you want it, you can get it at

I second this, please. Also, would it be possible to backport a newer version of the xmltv package, as the version in the feisty repos doesn't work well with the version of mythtv in the updates repos (.20.2), and I doubt it will be any better with .21. The combination of the old xmltv package
