I had to use usb-creator and create a USB drive with a persistent store,

It seems that we are going to use the SRU
(http://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates) process to introduce lyx
2.0.0 final into Natty. You can see more information about the process
at bug #775900.
Given that, I'm going to go ahead and close this bug.

We generally try to use backports for features, not bugfixes. For
bugfixes we have the SRU process
(http://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates).

module for USB 3.0 changed, but initramfs-tools didn't, so the module
didn't end up in the initramfs, leaving it unable to activate any USB
