[Bug 524590] Re: Lucid Lynx advanced manager is not able to change amount of desktop spaces

2010-09-17 Thread Kristian Lyngstøl
As a side note - this is probably just a confusion between desktops and workspaces. If you actually change number of desktops, you will not change the workspace layout. Desktops are generally not used in compiz and we(Compiz-people) we've been stupid not to remove that option years ago as it only

[Bug 155002] Re: Mouse locked when zooming

2010-09-17 Thread Kristian Lyngstøl
I am still aware of the issue. It has been alleviated by X-Fixes being less of a problem, partly because FireFox doesn't have an animated cursor any more. The defaults have been changed and a software cursor plus mouse panning is now the default, which means this isn't a problem with the default

On what basis is this being closed? I am aware of no fix to this except disabling lighting in Compiz. -- Dimms when zooming https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154721 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing

Rusivi, I wrote ezoom. It is not speculation when I say that the defaults are changed upstream as I changed them. However, this user probably uses desktop zoom instead of enhanced zoom. That is legacy ware. And I can say with considerable certainty that his mouse isn't the problem. The easiest

[Bug 154721] Re: Dimms when zooming

2009-12-11 Thread Kristian Lyngstøl
This is a well known bug (sorry), and it's not really an eZoom issue. The basic problem is that the lighting normalization is plain Wrong[tm]. This can be seen in other ways too (try setting up a virtual setup with 10x10 monitors and grabbing a cube and you'll see the lighting is not consistent).

Ah, how we love X Fixes. What options do you have set for ezoom? The core problem is that nobody ever fixes X Fixes so eZoom hacks it's way around it, and sometimes fail... Hmm, didn't know this was still an issue... -- Mouse locked when zooming https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155002 You

[Bug 154719] Re: cursor centers on desktop when zooming

2009-12-11 Thread Kristian Lyngstøl
Hmm, the sync-mouse code is obviously bugged... The simple solution is: - Turn off sync mouse in eZoom - Turn on mouse panning - Turn on draw scaled mouse Now you'll have a far better mode of operation, but you'll have TWO mouse pointers. eZoom _can_ hide it for you with 'hide original
