First of all, I am not sure whether this is a bug or not, but I tried
several times to set addmode (1920x1080) in xrandr. Never happened.
So, I simply tried creating a new mode using 10-monitor.conf and
restarted my system, it started showing blank screen.
I checked

Thanks Kashyap.
That bug isn't cross listed with Glance and the current one applies to
Glance in a very generic way. So, Hemanth did the right thing from our
perspective. I will leave the rest of the story to the VMT team.

Same issue and same apparmor messages in syslog when upgrading from
14.04.4 to 16.04.1. Thomas' workaround of killing "/var/lib/dpkg/info
/cups-daemon.postinst configure 1.7.2-0ubuntu1.7" allowed the upgrade to
continue, but it'd be nice not to see this kind of issue on an LTS > LTS
upgrade.
