All right, that was it. For my case, the problem was the APIC on the
kernel on my laptop. If I boot with noapic added to the kernel boot
line, i can use fglrx with DRI acceleration and no usb freezing. I'm
running it since i posted the comment and working great.

I just came on to report the lack of a .desktop, but it seems it has
been done. Here is an alternative logo to use if you prefer - I just
whacked together a couple of the images from the game. It may be too
detailed as a small icon, but may be better than what we have.

I just tried the latest CD, (this time, NOT alternate). It does the same
