I tried gscan2pdf but the application from the link is missing some
packages, according to an error message I got. Not sure where to get
these things--I thought when a package was chosen all of the associated
packages were brought along with it???
Anyway, it doesn't know my scanner exists, so
I can confirm. Work around:
Place this in xorg:
Section InputDevice
Identifier Configured Mouse
Driver mouse
Option CorePointer
Option Device/dev/input/mice
Option Protocol ExplorerPS/2
For NVIDIA graphics cards support:
* NVIDIA binary driver with libNVCtrl installed (provided with the
nvidia-settings utility) (to enable support GNOME Sensors Applet needs
to be configured with the --with-nvidia flag)

I can't get Amarok 1.4 under Ubuntu Feisty to even use the Inspiron 6000
forward/backward hotkeys. I guess probably solved in an odd way :-D.
Can anyone else confirm this? I think Ubuntu is stealing them and won't
let them go.
