After a few days of testing I want to tell to all of us struggling with
a hardy kernel on top of gutsy that the best way to go is to install
hardy: everything works much better in hardy than in gutsy with updated
kernel, wicd a must AFAICT. I also have to say that things are working
better than bef
As I said, the wish is already granted in the current default AFAICT.

When I use "pidgin" to login a QQ account, It responded that I had entered
an incorrect password. But I'm sure that I entered the correct password.

I burned the CD and booted.

I was able to resolve this issue for now by copying the previous package
version from another machine:
update-manager-core_1%3a0.87.18_amd64.deb
Once I downgraded update-manager-core with this package, I was able to
reinstall ubuntu-desktop, update-manager and update-notifier.

I can also confirm this bug. I've been running the beta on two machines,
and just went to install the RC on my third tonight. There was one non-
standard package that errored out during the upgrade (ampache), and
after that, the entire update failed and update-manager removed itself
along with ubun

You can work around this by building your own ubuntu-minimal package
