Add other information... if I launch keepassx 0.3.3 from command line
then I see this assert error ASSERT: c!=-1 in file lib/HelperX11.cpp,
line 32 when keepassx quits.

You should try to select your monitor type and your video card before
entering gnome (from that always run in low res window, and then try

problem was related to the format of USB keys, in the usb-creator dialog
they showed as /dev/sdb and /dev/sdc, in the backend.py there is a
regular expression that was throwing out /dev/sdc and then it was
expecting a number that was not there and so it throw an exception.

Are you Crazy!? If this was Debian, the entire team would have stopped

uh, strange. while I failed all the morning in my attempt to switch to dual
screen (see my above report), it's now working!
And I've obviously not changed anything, nor rebooted nor done anything (except
coding and mailing ;-)

However, the new string needs to be i18n'ed with gettext. I. e. it needs
to be wrapped into _(), and po/POTFILES.in needs to have that file.
Also, I'm not sure how that works together with KDE's slightly uncommon

FYI: Manuell re-assignment of these two key with
'System/Preferences/Hotkeys' (if the menuentry is called like this in
english?) fixed the problem.
Nevertheless, the keys did work before the upgrade to 8.10 - so for me
it is some kind of bug.
