do random disconnects, and even loose the connection while still showing

post). When I boot up, my battery shows itself nearly full, or around
85% or whatever... then, very suddenly, it either gives me an almost-
dead warning, or just plain shuts down. It doesn't appear that power is

I think what that error means is just that the changes weren't going to
be reflected in the /dev/sda* devices until reboot. I've seen that error
before on start-up if the devices were in use, which apparently is
always the case even with the LiveCD because it automatically uses the
swap partition.
I remember having the gksu lockup issue too in Jaunty, but no more in
9.10 Karmic. The ugly transparent "moat" is still there though, see Bug
#290714.

this problem under Karmic Alpha 6 too. Logitech wireless mouse, not
recognised after resume from RAM on a Thinkpad T60p. Unloading/loading
uhci_hcd doesn't seem to work. Worse, under Karmic, neither does

power on (AT+CFUN=1), and indeed switches off when given "power off"

I have two disks with a swap partition on each. Under Karmic, mountall
only activates one, not both of them. This is annoying, because
hibernate will not work without both mounted.
After a fresh boot:

I have same problem as Renan.
Running 8.10x64 for some months without issue.
Upgraded to 9.04x64, and after a day or two the system became unusable
due to filesystem corruption.
Attempting to mount harddrive from live cd produces:

I see a few effects from this:
After a resume, I cannot put the computer to sleep again.
After a resume, the CPU Scaling Profiles don't work (setting to specific
frequencies does).
After a resume, I get no sound.
After a resume, I have to press CTRL+ALT+F7 to see anything.
