After the update earlier today my 64bit Kubuntu system had the same
problem. During the update 29 packages got removed I'm guessing that
some of these packages where crucial to KDE.

well known issue with gdmsetup on small screens, in particular, netbooks
(typical screen size is 1024x576). I could swear this was already open
somewhere else, but I can't seem to find it at the moment. This is

I see a problem: after the appropriate idle time, the screen goes blank,
I can see the backlight turn off, and then a few seconds later, the
backlight comes back on, although the screen stays blank (that's my
screensaver).

Fn-F2 (lock) button, lid close (recently fixed again), etc.

Even when my network interfaces are exclusively managed in
/etc/network/interfaces, network-manager keeps overwriting my
/etc/resolv.conf with an empty file. This happens at least after every
reboot.

Have just downloaded Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala 32 bit Alpha 6 - Added
Microsoft bluetooth elite mouse/keyboard set. Both came back after
sleep without any problem. This was whilst running Live CD. Looks like
issue may be fixed in Karmic?
