The new xserver-xorg-video-intel - 2:2.9.0-1ubuntu1 does make xbacklight
_report_ the display brightness, but there is no way to actually change
it using xbacklight/gnome-brightness-applet. This problem occurs a
samsung x360 laptop.

looking at the error in the duplicates dmesg it does look identical to
the error I had on my acer. from my understanding the fix tht was
implemented was essentially a model number check. as I mentioned acer

Please note BBG2.0 coin-cell battery can not be chargable. If the
voltage of coin-cell battery is lower than 1.8V, it can not maintain RTC
any more. You can replace another coin-cell battery or use BBG2.5/BBG3.0
whose coin-cell battery can be chargable for tests.

Last night my wife and I were using Karmic on my Asus eee PC 1000HE. We
were both logged in.
Just before we went to bed I selected Shut Down in my account and
closed the netbook lid.
The next morning I found my Asus still running and it was really hot.

OK, it looks like I also needed to remove quiet from the boot
arguments to see what was really going on. On both systems, before it
hangs waiting for the timeout, the last messages are:

When starting ubuntu 9.10 beta there is sometimes sound and sometimes not. When
fully logged in sometimes there is systems sounds sometimes there's not, at
this time there is no application sounds.
