I went through all the steps of setting up UbuntuOne, and assigned some
folders to be synced.
The folder structure synced pretty quickly, but the actual files just didn't
seem to progress at all. I made sure my machine was online for significant
periods, tried from our office LAN as well

Using ghc works without any issues, but using ghci doesn't. Looking at
the files that are installed, I can see the libHSHDBC-sqlite3-2.1.0.2.a
file, which will be use to compile into the executable, but there is no
.so file for dynamic linking, as done by ghci.

I just installed Unity in Maverick desktop (64bit) and get the same

Follow-up to my post #93:
Weirdly enough, #86 worked for one laptop (Dell Inspiron 5150) but not
for another, Dell Latitude D800. Same network card Dell TrueMobile 1150.
I am not sure about the firmware versions on the cards, they might be
different. For the Latitude D800, I am trying to connect
Bas Roset, or anyone else, can you please test with the Ghostscript

Indeed, vmbuilder under Lucid keeps the temporary name.
Because of this, automated scripts that look for disk0.qcow2 or so, fail.
Of course, we can work around it, but I'd like to see clear names again.
It is difficult to identify the correct image now when vmbuilder creates
several disk images.
I have the same problem with black text on the menus. I have installed
on two Compaq Evo N610C laptops and both have black text instead of
white. This happens using the live cd and on the installed system. When
running the live cd on my Compaq Presario V6000, the text appears
correctly in white.
We cannot include the patented algorithms, closing.

The problem was corrected in mainstream. There are still some events of
gkd failures, but I cannot make a repeatable testcase (i.e. it may
happen once a work day or may work properly for the whole week while
doing administration on the same clusters). I think the bug must be
therefore closed.

As well as the 3 mutter packages I had to also downgrade
libgirepository1.0-0
gir1.0-freedesktop
Which were stuck on the gnome-shell versions. Unity is working now

I am still having this problem with the latest nvidia drivers.
At nearly every boot nvidia fails to load and gdm tries to run a

The revealing message here is hostname: Name or service not known which means
there is a DNS issue on your system.
hostname -i and hostname -d should get you going on debugging this. Also
take a look at /etc/nsswitch.conf.

Hey,
I recently discovered this problem too. It's probably a problem related to
PolicyKit, indeed, and we can verify this very simply : the problem is solved
by starting the software-center in the shell, via sudo software-center.
