upgraded from 10.04 LTS.
After upgrade the button that should save currently running applications indeed
fails to save them. And I'm not talking about one application. The description
of the problem is accurate.

Simple scan in Ubuntu 10.10 does not scan in black and white at all.

They may have a real bug then. You should suggest that they file
reports on that. A fresh install should not have those problems. If
they file a bug report and its reproducible, the bug team will confirm
it and it will be given to the developers to fix.

I'm noticing the same bug, and I also have an athlon XP processor.
Perhaps this slowness is only noticeable in CPUs without SSE2 support?

The alsa-utils post installation script fails for me.
After adding "set -x" to the 4th line of /var/lib/dpkg/info/alsa-
utils.postinst I get:

But it happens all 3 of my computer and my friend's also. They are all
