I found the solution for this bug. KDE needs the package polkit-kde-1
to popup the authorization dialog for system updates or network shares.
It seems that the package does not install when installing the kubuntu-
desktop meta package. Looks like a dependency problem in the packages.
Many people still prefer to use classic panels instead of Unity, so we
really need indicators support for Panel 3.
Indicator-applet is already ported to DBus API (see bug 671477) and
builds without deprecations (bug 655628), so the only thing that is
needed to be done is building with Gtk3.

sorry to have been so long to respond, I thought I would have had some signal
from launchpad in any case, and got none..
It should work with a proper xorg.conf, maybe that yours had a mistake
in it ? I generated mine using nvidia-config (you need to have nvidia
driver), it is as follows
One more note: GtkHBox and GtkVBox are now deprecated, and GtkBox
(http://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/3.1/GtkBox.html) should be used
instead.

always update when the application asks to change them. This especially
shows up in Chrome and Pidgin, where the title bar should change as you

2 or 3 days ago i noticed that mission-control and empathy-auth-cl used
80% of cpu. It's the same today.
I'm using Empathy 3.1.4 on Ubuntu Oneiric Ocelot

When gnome-terminal starts scrolling continuosly (i.e. tailing a log),
the Xorg cpu usage bumps up to 100% and my machine becomes deadly slow
(even though it's a 8 cores westmere). This problem was visible on 10.10
but with 11.04 it became much more evident.

avr-libc be clarified please? What else needs to be sync'd, merged or
