From looking at the actual errors on http://errors.ubuntu.com this bug seems
to conflate a bunch of independent issues:
- packages with incorrect dependencies failures (like this one)
- downloaded deb packages that lintian complains about
To reproduce you can do software-center
Is there any way to tell which build the installation/upgrade was done
from? I upgraded sometime around beta 2 but it may have been earlier
and I am seeing this issue.

I also wonder why Canonical doesn't change their update policy and
upstreams important 'user applications' as soon as there is an update
package available. Stuff like Gimp, LibreOffice, etc. should get an
updated PPA shortly after the update is available, not after months!

Hi Simon, you're absolutely right: thanks for paying attention to that.
Now, I took another look at the changelog and here's the list of
suspicious commits in that version:
be05980 drm/radeon: do not reenable crtc after moving vram start address
899d1d5 drm/radeon: fix bank tiling parameters on
Another change that I applied around the same time as when my memory
leak stopped appearing was to reduce the System monitor width value to
30 pixels from the default value. I'm not sure how that could be
related, but I thought I'd mention it since the memory leak disappeared
around the same time
Confirming it's working on firefox (but not on G+, gmail and some
others… there are different bug reports for those), but not on chromium.
I'm changing back the bug title to clear that up and remove the added
firefox part.

I have the same problem i have full signal on my wifi , it connects to the wifi
i have internet access for 2-3 minutes then i have no internet access , the
wifi is still connected !
when im trying to disconnect and reconnect i have internet access again but
only for 1-3 minutes !

I suspended my Laptop (Acer Aspire 5738) using the Fn shortcut (Fn+F4)
just like i do it everyday. When i wanted to resume the only thing i saw
was a terminal like screen. I had to resume by rebooting the Laptop
manually.
