My problem is probably with the way my partitions are set up. I have
132gig flash drive that has ubuntu on it my only operating sytem right
now. If I take out the flash drive I can't log on to my computer.

already closed the startup disk creator:

This also affects Xubuntu 12.10.
After I close the error that pops up, it stops trying to erase the disk
if you mount it (I assume this is because you can't format mounted
storage devices).

the CompizConfig Settings Manager extends too far right when placed with Put
Left, and extends off the right side of the screen when placed with Put Right.

It appears that due to the fact that Zorin is modified from the original
Ubuntu ISO, I'm not supposed to update using any official ubuntu updates
(11.10, 12.04) that pop up in update manager, since it will cause
problems.

I don't have the bug anymore, but I have reinstalled and am now running
Trisquel, which is also Ubuntu based. I think the issue first happened
to me after I installed an email server, which of course you must have I
guess. But I think it could be related to that, although I am far from
an expert. O

I have completely removed Samba4 using the Synaptic Package Manager. I
then successfully reinstalled Samba4. Now I can connect to Windows
machines in my network. gEDA and gResistor seemed to need Samba4, and
would not install. They now install. The problem seems to be solved.

Brandon, I am working on something that should help to prevent issues
like this in the future. We could all donate money and get a patch if
needed, but then again only those lucky enough to know about launchpad

it out, but many would be put-off just trying to figure out how to
resize, even if they were successful. By default in Ubuntu with Compiz

As Siegfried Gevatter first replied "I don't think most users have a
problem with that." I have to say that has been shown to now be an issue
for many. This is a severe issue in that anyone hampered by it will be
hit early on in their experience, and have such a high degree of getting
turned off
My understanding is that everything should eventually use NOTIFY-OSD or
have the option... perhaps they are working on this already, but if you
have done some work it would be good to use it if possible...

The ideal solution would indeed need to do this. I get this bug in Compiz, but
I feel it can affect anybody. Maybe the cursor can stick/jump to the border
after x seconds? Possibly with added special "accessability" benefit?

I wasn't sure how the bug process works, and didn't realize there was a

is, but what I ended up doing was adding "Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals"
