Same problem here. The workaround partially fixes it, but still I have
sometimes problems to connect. Is it dependent on the bluetooth adapter,
headset or both? Are there know-to-work adapters?

recommended setting up the network so lots of people are doing that.

* R key is just next to the E key, so you might delete your crontab if you
wanted to edit it

out that I have to unmute the sound in Windows, then it work's in Ubuntu out of
the box.

idea: laptop-mode can be configured to switch of the cron daemon when in
battery mode .. perhaps cron jobs should be divided in "important" and
"maintenance" .. why isn't laptop-mode installed by default on laptops ?

I'm using Ubuntu Edgy, I've attached the backtrace .. but couldn't create it as
explained in your wiki-link, because rythmbox doesn't crash - it just doesn't
react to any input anymore. So I pressed Ctrl+Z in gdb and type "backtrace" ..
to generate the attached file. hope that helps..
