To me it happened on Edgy after upgrading from Dapper.
On both the Dapper and Edgy LiveCDs the savage driver did not even get
loaded and the vesa driver was used.
On Dapper that was ok, but on Edgy the vesa driver has become so

I can confirm this on my system, too. Using Edgy, conglomerate
0.9.1-2ubuntu3 and conglomerate-common 0.9.1-2ubuntu3 I'm getting the
same error.
The workaround is to execute:
sudo rm -r /usr/share/conglomerate/
sudo rm -r /usr/share/doc/conglomerate

I just wanted to notice that I also had to remove the UUIDS from
/boot/grub/menu.lst, otherwise the wrong partition is mounted as root.
I attached my menu.lst as reference.
The only bootable entry is the first one (title Ubuntu, kernel

IIRC, to get it working on the livecd, I simply edited
/etc/network/interfaces with the right settings for my WLAN, and then

The icon on the "Cancel" button of any dialog does not have a "Human"
icon, and the default GNOME cross icon is used instead.
It would be nice to have some consistency here, since normally the other
buttons next to "Cancel" are themed (e.g. the "Apply" button, see

on the panel at the top of the screen.

Here the icon g-p-m is showing can be seen next to the System Monitor
icon in the notification area. It looks like a battery with a kind of
"no entry" sign in the middle.

After booting, g-p-m displays a wrong notification area icon, which does
not provide any information about the battery status (see atached
screenshots). This happens both when booting with AC and without.
