Hi Simon,
I have just finished porting to Qt5 and KF5. As soon as I will have
retrieved my KDE credentials, I will be able to commit the new 1.3.0
version to KDE repositories.
If you would like the new source code directly, I can send it to you.
Thanks for your patience,

I don't expect anything from DHCPv6, I was just playing around with this

I suppose that your questions apply to the original bug reporter. We'll
let him answer,
As a side note: if you accept the RAs, you will not only get the missing

I was wondering whether this is really a bug. Can't DHCPv6 advertise a
default gateway like DHCP used to do for IPv4? It seems that it is out
of scope for DHCPv6, and that you have to do it with RAs. So yes, it
looks like a bug.

I'd like to testimony that the 3.9.0 packages from kirya.net are very
stable, at least at my place where they do the daily spam filtering with
success.

I forgot to say:
When printing the same file on the same printer, but directly from the
CUPS server, and not from the Mac, the quality is still perfect.
So I wrote a small script that transfers the file to print from the mac
to the server, and prints it from there, but that's quite tedious to
use

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: cups
When printing from Mac OS X onto a CUPS server under Kubuntu, the print
quality is very degraded.
The result looks like an artisanal black and white rasterization.
In /var/log/cups/error.log, one can read:
W [23/Jan/2010:13:18:50 +0100] [Job 104]
Same problem here with Karmic Koala, half-solved.
The server is a Windows 2008 server. The Linux machine has only the
client part of samba. The IP addresses are fix.
In konqueror:
smb://servername works fine
smb://10.0.0.211 works fine
smb:/workgroup/servername fails
I found that my problem had
Tested, new version works for me, problem disappeared for me.
Thanks everyone.

I don't know if this helps, but here is the output of strace

and here is output of lsof :

ilna : killing the print job and resuming the printer does not help.
Only killing the process named "usb://EPSON something" helps. The print
job disappears from the print queue cleanly then.
It really looks like CUPS does not close some socket it is writing on
after printing, so the usb process do
I agree the "usb hanging" bug is a different bug from the "printer not
seen by cups" problem described by this issue.
I would say the bug described here is basically solved by the three-step
method explained above.
Therefore I suggest we continue the discussion at

Same here. My printer was working fine before I upgraded to karmic, then
stopped working after the distribution update.
First, the printer was not seen by CUPS. Solved it by:
- blacklisting usblp kernel module
- changing group of /dev/bus/usb/00x/00y device
- not letting apparmor supervise cups

So, let me get this right: Tor is in both hardy- and intrepid-proposed,
but has been removed from the jaunty repositories? Following the
previous comments is confusing; why is it like this again?
If its a maintainer issue, why is it in *-proposed? If its a potential
upgrade issue, wh
