This problem is occuring with any multi function usb device that
supports [scanning and [printing or cardreader] ].
The problem is that the usblp and/or usb_storage kernel modules claim
the usb device (at least de sub-intrefaces for printing/usb storage).

The problem about the device state EBUSY is that my device has a cardreader
attached and is a printer:
lsmod showns usblp and usb_storage being loaded.
In my case, the problem is on GNOME with Ubuntu 8.04 and 8.10.

The language setting does not help. When one tries to read a file, it is
automatically formated into standard-language and you get dates over
dates. In the language setting section (in german it is
Extras-Optionen-Spracheinstellungen-Sprachen), there is an option-
button, which asks, if I want the

as dates if the cell is formated as date.
This is because often international documents are english-formated. I
can simply not use them because in german, which my computer is set to,

have the dot/comma problem, but Gnumeric can not read cvs-files,
