I'm able to get similar behavior without an external monitor. If I open
two Terminals, I can move one by touching the titlebar and dragging my

I got the same problem here.
I have a laptop which pre-installed Win8. I disabled Secure Boot and
partitioned the disk myself.
Installing Kubuntu 12.10 from live USB was okay (though I still need to run
boot-repair after installing, but at least there was no problem during the
installation).
BTW, ubuntu 13.04 would not have this problem.

Fixed this by going to synaptic, searching for installed 'python', and
reinstalled all of them. Consequently, this also fixed a similar
problem with Miro.

If I log out of a Unity session in Ubuntu 12.04LTS (fresh unmodified but
updated install) then log back in the audio is muted on login. It does
not appear muted in the indicator but muting then unmuting returns the
audio to how it was prior to logging out. Not sure if this is

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature but the Greybird metacity window
title is off-centre.
This is due to the following lines of code in
/usr/share/themes/Greybird/metacity-1/metacity-theme-1.xml

Switching off the Have the file manager handle the desktop option in
gnome-tweak-tool provides a temporary fix to this bug suitable for
anyone who doesn't use the Desktop as a file storage space.

Hi...I made my WiFi a personal hotspot.with its own security code.and have

about the same place . I have put it on another machine and it works ok.
This one is a pentium 111 8oo mhz , 1 gig ram, 2- 40gb hd's, 1 for the
program, 1 for windows , and I have tried three cd-rom players.
