I didn't upgrade to Ubuntu 20.10 at all Olivier, I'm still on Ubuntu
Mate 20.04.1. Maybe it came with an update? Thunderbird already was a
longer time just in English. But as far I know the problem started 27th
October, yes indeed.

I use indicator-applet-complete with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and
gnome-session-fallback.
Memory usage of the applet had increased to 460 MiB. I killed and restarted the
applet, now it is using 8.8 MiB

I want to do a regular expression match on UTF-8 formatted strings.
A simple example is matching a string consisting of 1 or 2 uppercase
characters, including Ä,Ë,Ï,Ö,Ü.

workaround it is possible to boot with kernel argument
modprobe.blacklist=nouveau the installer will start as well as the
live cd function. I will also try to do a full install and reboot.

I have the same problem with a Dell Inspiron 2200, with a Proxim Gold Orinoco
11b/g wireless card and ath5k driver.
Normally it resumes in 2..3 seconds, but sometimes (~1 in 10) it takes up to 4
minutes.

problem. I even succeeded to adapt the modeline command in the xorg.conf
file to the resolution 0f 1440x900.

I first noticed it when I tried to sort a large spreadsheet which I had
begun in v2.2.
I have since created a small spreadsheet with about six cells filled
with numbers. When I selected them, then clicked Data | Sort the
application froze.
Running OOo 2.3 on Ubuntu
Just found some more information... this is related to the theme.
I switched to the Human theme, and the problem went away.
