I see similar problems on Intrepid. aa-logprof outputs lots of garbage (and
also seems to miss some real apparmor messages).
IMHO fixing this bug should have higher priority, apparmor is a
security-related program and used to work fine in Hardy.

nspluginwrapper fixes the firefox crashes but it's only a suboptimal
work-around. The flash plugin still crashes a lot, it just doesn't take
firefox with it anymore!
The real problem that has to be fixed are the flushplugin crashes. The
number of those increased dramatically about 2 weeks ago,
Kristoffer, compiz isn't causing the problem for me. It's disabled. It
also doesn't make a difference whether I enable hardware acceleration in
the flashplugin or not.
LGB, as said, pulseaudio isn't the problem in my case. I don't use at
all. I do audio multiplexing via ALSA's dmix instead.
As prelinking is pretty much superfluous nowadays, I'd suggest to simply
set this bug to Invalid.

This isn't a duplicate. The problem is caused by 29-language-selector-
ja-jp.conf which enables the autohinter. This gives ugly results with
some fonts (which have good hints), for example with the Microsoft fonts
(Arial, Verdana, ...).
It's possible to work around this with $(HOME)/.fonts.conf
Obviously there's a closing /match missing in my previous comment. (I
have more stuff in ~/.fonts.conf).

border between the xterm itself and the window decorations. This border
doesn't show up on other window managers, e.g metacity.

Looks like the name passed to usb_device_name has changed and it can't
determine bus and device anymore.
This might be caused by using a kernel which was compiled without
CONFIG_USB_DEVICE_CLASS (deprecated option).
I've replaced the
albert, the kernel version was already in the original bug report and
the system is running an update-to-date gutsy, i.e. udev is at
113-0ubuntu4 now. I've seen the behavior with older udev version too
though.
If somebody would tell me if this is really a bug (and not expected
behavior on
btrace(8) (from package blktrace) shows a storm of trackerd i/o traffic after
every login.
I assume it's checking known files and directories for modifications while
trackerd wasn't running. This process probably should be slowed down a bit,

using the 'Switch to workspace n' keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+F1 -
Ctrl+F6). Here are a few issues with compiz which make it barely usable
for me:

The situation hasn't changed. Fonts still look too bold at high pixels
sizes. E.g. on my laptop (133 dpi display) Arial 10pt looks fine, but
Arial 11pt is too bold.

Any security concerns on taking out stack-protector?
All older versions of iptables where compiled without this feature, so it
doesn't get worse at least.
(-fstack-protector is now enabled by default in Ubuntu's gcc-4.1, that's how it
