problem with this adaptor is only on 32 bit systems. I can't use 32 bit

I noticed I was still running GRUB 1.5 and took the occasion to upgrade,
without any luck. I think it made the hybernate/sleep function work, but resume
still failed.

I'm at 2.6.32-25-generic at the moment and I can confirm that the
problem is unchanged for me. It has worked fine untill version 9.04.

I have almost the same on a Lenovo R500, but (following the description
above) the keyboard controller does not reset (no flashing keyboard
lights, and the machine does not power off automatically (backlight of
the monitor stays on too). The computer needs to be stopped the hard way
