Successfully reproduced this bug in 0.47 pre-release as downloaded from
Bryce's link. I've attached a screenshot.
To reproduce, draw a square filled with any color, set it as a pattern,
then make a larger rectangle-shape and fill with that pattern.
As you move the pattern-filled object and/or
Chow, I think your screenshot has it about right. I like the way you've
changed where Comments appears.
As for exact wording, David's Allow others to change folder contents
also works, and perhaps Allow others to modify folder contents might
be another alternative. I don't really have a
perhaps it would be better to change it to Allow others to create and
delete files,

Using the Auto Scroll extension in Epiphany 2.20.1 results in smeared
text and graphics (it leaves a trail of graphics artifacts) on websites.
Normal scrolling (without MMB Auto Scroll) works fine.

This is quite a bug! It took me a while to figure out what was
happening, because KeyJNote is just broken. I didn't know what a .patch
file was until I tried the patch command...so, if you want to download

This happened to me too - it seemed that I lost a processor during the
upgrade to Gutsy, when in fact I just had to rearrange the new menu.lst
to default to generic instead of 386. I didn't notice the problem
until one of my applications (Java) reported it to me.

/proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCD/brightness to
/proc/acpi/video/VID/LCD/brightness - changing VGA to VID made it
work on my Dell Inspiron E1505. Hope your fix can shed some light on the

Fn-Keys for adjusting brightness of the display does not work anymore in Gutsy
on my Dell
Same problem here, upgrading from Feisty to Gutsy. Error message looks
identical to Michael Vogt's. Then, the next package to be upgraded
froze, and I stopped the upgrade. I had to kill dpkg to continue
upgrading later. This completely destroyed the upgrade process and I was
left to do the rest
Confirming bug in Feisty/KDE 3.5.7. Too bad it doesn't work...anybody
know another way to change it? :-(

For me this is connected to kwallet. I fixed the problem on my system by
following this advice:

I deleted kwalletrc (couldn't find the other file) and when I logged in
again, no more problems with kded hogging the CPU.
