I seem to be able to connect to a WPA-secured wireless LAN without
issues. Arguably, it is secured with WPA2.
Using the same versions; and linux-image-2.6.31-11-generic 2.6.11-11.36.

In some environments, ports other than, for example, 80 and 443 are not
allowed to egress. Users then commonly try to use

I confirm, that specific hardware (T60 with a X1300 chip) is quite well

Seems to me like it's starting again properly. I see an updated version
of python-xml in the repos, and hb_gui is starting just fine for me...

I'm aware that the latest upstream svn has a fixed applied that resolves
the issue. My understanding is that all that would be needed would be to
do a new snapshot of the vpnc plugin code (and most likely network-
manager as a whole too, though).

I was actually thinking of some way for it to be plug and play, rather
than requiring a reboot or root access to do this, but I think I can
figure it out pretty easily, and I'll include it in the page.

Yes, it's a first take on exactly what Dan Williams suggested: password
types in the configuration dialog, and then saving passwords depending
on that. I've added something so that as long as it's not a "rekey" or
"reprompt" for the passwords, then it only asks for what's necessary.

Sadly, it's too late for it to make it into Intrepid with the release
today, but I may be fixed in a SRU at a later point.
