This does not really fix security because one aspect of security is
availability to legitimate users and this breaks the latter. Seems
there are better ways to fix such as restricting what this can write to
with apparmor? Or just fixing the coding so it does parse the input
more carefully.

I wish people wouldn't use languages like python which changes it's

version 2 (SunOS 4.1.4), version 3 (Redhat 6.2) and version 4.2 (other

After upgrading the version 2 and version 3 clients no longer can mount

It's even worse now with 22.04, I used to be able to stop the extra
borders by turning compositing off. With 22.04 when accessed with x2go,

For what it's worth it's STILL broken on 21.04, but I fixed by grabbing
hplip from HP's website and installing via the provided shell script instead
of the broken version shipped with Ubuntu.

Ok, I've installed the old version to see if this occurs, this was not a
frequent problem with this version so I'm unlikely to have an answer
overnight. However, I was under the impression that the purpose of
proposed was to test and get feedback and fix such things before it
entered mainstream.

I just re-installed everything and it pulled what was missing but at this point
it's clearly not your issue so feel free to close this ticket. It would be
nice if there were a dev file to match
the most recent libs but I realize if you choose proposed, bugs come with that.

I am sorry, it is 20.10 not 20.04. In Synaptic, under Settings ->
Repositories -> Developer Options I have Pre-released updates (groovy-
proposed) checked so perhaps that is why I have this version.

program) which requires libgtk-3-dev. When I try to install libgtk-3-dev I

I have it scheduled to run out of cron every Wednesday, today is the
first day it failed. I do not understand much about how this works, it

I can't tell you what performance hit, that depends upon your
application, it will hit TCP apps harder than UDP because UDP can't take
advantage of it at all. The performance hit will be highest in net
centric apps like routers.
