OpenOffice
it is version 3.1.1. I'm going to wait for
it to open, copy it to a new spreadsheet save it, and see if that helps.
It seems as though this bug is more of my bug, and not a problem after
trying to open several other documents. I guess we can close this bug.
My apologies.

OpenOffice Calc
Copying and saving the pages out of this document to individual
documents didn't help. This is not good. Perhaps it is a bug, just an
uncommon one. This is really beyond me.

Ok, here is a test file that has the same problem. It is less than 1mb
in size, and yet still takes a very long time to open. Can you test it
and see if it has problems for you?

I've gone back to open source drivers.
Note that the radeonhd drivers worked *very* poorly with Lucid. This

I know Canonical can't control
I believe I have this same problem and it is worse than ever in lucid 64bit

I'll try some mainline kernels but this bug in the kernel bugzilla is the same
problem I think.

Although I have some improvement with the kernel parameters
This is also reported in Nvidia forums. One user claims that his problems were
sorted by ensuring that the nvidia driver did not share an interrupt with
anything else.

MCP78S Chispet USB Ports Intermittent
I was premature in declaring this fixed. After a few days, the massive
swap behavior after resume has started again. I don't see anything in
dmesg that is obviously triggering this. I guess I'll try going back
to the open source drivers (although whatever Lucid was using by default
was painfully

This is more of an annoyance than anything else
Another note, I had Signature Switch extension enabled, and with it
disabled, I no longer get this bug! So apparently this is a Signature
Switch extension bug?
