Confirming Mr. Queirolo's issue, though I have a problem where dragging
just fails. It'll sort of unclick so where I'll be dragging it'll let
go and then click again start me resizing the window or something.

As far as I can tell, the latest updates to the Jaunty mesa stuff has
fixed both of my problems! All the letters and numbers are showing up
and, more importantly, I'm using image overlays without issue now. =)

That corrected it. My performance is now about 18 fps, still lower than
I used to get, but it's now playable.

Just upgraded to the new Jaunty kernel (2.6.28-1) and the new Intel
driver (2.5.1 or whatever). Still having the same problem. I've
attached an updated screencap, note all the missing letters.
Attempting to use image overlays still hangs it.

Still a problem, even on latest updates. Reopening since I was only
given 8 minutes between the notice and closure of the bug. I'd heard

Alright, some update to Kubuntu Intrepid fixed this somewhat, but not
entirely.
Whereas the roads used to break up as the image overlays do, now the
roads are solid at all times. I have two new problems though:
1- Only certain letters/numbers appear. For example, the coordinates at
the bottom
Yeah, I reloaded with 8.04 back in April and that corrected my issue.
Being that I'm now using the Intrepid alpha, I have completely different
issues, but those are being addressed elsewhere.

Last night I somehow managed to get everything turned back on, though
I'm not entirely sure how. I was planning to get my roommate to burn a
7.10 CD and I was going to attempt to suspend and resume that. I had my
computer sitting on the BIOS screen so I could easily do that, and then

I'm also having this problem, but with KDE 3.5. The battery icon can
tell when the system has been unplugged, and seems like it updates
itself then, but otherwise sits there on the same percentage number
regardless of the actual charge in the battery. For example, it spent
hours yesterday at 5%
Did not help. Still just as choppy as ever. In fact, on the new user
account, it took several minutes just to open.

initially filed the bug, and it's been doing this ever since I got this
computer in July.
Google Earth works fine in Windows on this machine.

I'd like to note that somewhere along the way, the brightness broke
again, and one again cannot be controlled. However, booting off of a
live CD, I note that I am able to at least partially control it. I'm
going to wait until the first Hardy Alpha comes along with a new kernel

I think this bug is rather important, seeing as it is not possible to
control the brightness from within Kubuntu at all, despite the fact that
this worked fine up until the last update to acpi. I really wish that
somebody who is capable of fixing would look at it...

Well, in the time since I filed the bug report, I have done a clean
install of 6.10, which helped a great deal.
That said, it still likes to crash sometimes, though not frequently,
when popups are called. I'd say 1 in 15 popups or dialog boxes cause
crashes now, though there appears to be no set

issues. I managed to resolve all of them myself, with this one
exception.
Whenever I boot the system, my eth1 interface (an IPW2200 wireless card)
is shown as up and functional, but has no IP address.

have the DHCP server set to assign my laptop's MAC address the same IP
(192.168.11.27) every time it connects. I use no encryption, as I live
