[Bug 1573624] Re: package mysql-server-5.7 5.7.11-0ubuntu6 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2016-04-27 Thread irwand
I also found that after purging and reinstalling mysql-server, it still didn't work. On clean install, mysqld looks for /etc/mysql/conf.d. If that dir isn't there, it exits. I simply had to "sudo mkdir /etc/mysql/conf.d" yesterday, and "sudo aptitude upgrade" after that, and mysql starts

Looks like Gutsy enables xgl by default, and this is really slow with ATI driver with Radeon 9200. To disable xgl: touch ~/.config/xserver- xgl/disable (make sure ~/.config/xserver-xgl is created first). Once XGL is not used, it should be as fast as Feisty.. -- Ati Radeon 9200 extremely slow in

Sorry, I don't know. I fixed it myself last time by running the same command that Rachel mentioned. I have not gone back since to see if it's been fixed. I don't think I'll ever go back to Dapper to reproduce this bug though. -- xserver-xorg-video-* did not get installed during upgrade from
