The computer took a while to get out of suspend to ram, and then the
mouse didn't work. I restarted, but it would not restart properly. I
just remained a black screen as the scroll lock key and caps lock key

I just recently had this exact same problem with Ubuntu Jaunty (9.04).
It had been working fine for months until today, when for some reason
authentication through PolicyKit started failing and any apps that
needed elevated privileges would just hang. Here's what I did to fix it:
1 - Open up the

I'm not familiar enough with apport and how it gathers information for
this submission. The OpenGL crash might have been my own doing. When
Kwin is hung, there are a few things I can do, for instance, I can do
Alt-F2 and try to run applications. This is mostly useless since nothing
launches, but
I tried downgrading to the 1.5.99.902-0ubuntu5~andersk1_amd64 version
and still had the same problem. Then, I downloaded the source to the
current xserver-xorg-core and it seems like the 158_maxclients patch is
no longer applied so apparently that has nothing to do with the current
problem.

squeak, squeak-sources, squeak-image are all available for PPC. But
squeak-vm is not. Therefore squeak is not installable. Source does
compile and work on Linux/PPC

I can replicate the problem. I have had a similar problem twice now
that applies to other applications as well. Any click on the title bar
goes through to the window behind it. I've experienced this in Opera,
VLC, and MPlayer.

I can confirm this exact same behavior on my Dell Inspiron 6000 (also w/
ipw2200 hardware). NM can't create or connect to ad-hoc networks (the
association ball never goes green, so it doesn't even get to the DHCP
step). Associating and acquiring an address using command line tools
(iwconfig and
Sorry, I forgot to mention that in my case at least, the ad-hoc network
in question had no encryption and was created by an XP SP2 machine using
the network creation wizard and the Internet connection sharing service.
