Just a note that we're closing this against linux-source-2.6.22 as it does not qualify for an SRU candidate. You can learn more about the stable release update process at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates . Thanks! ** Changed in: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete

Hi I have booted using the new hardy kernel and everything seems fine so far. The boot time was also much reduced, presumably due to a more refined resolution of power management issues. Thanks Phillip Leann Ogasawara wrote: Hi Phillip, The Hardy Heron kernel was recently uploaded for

Hi Phillip, The Hardy Heron kernel was recently uploaded for testing. We'd really appreciate it if you could try testing with this newer kernel and verify if this issue still exists. Unfortunately, the Hardy Heron Alpha1 LiveCD was released with the older 2.6.22 kernel. You'll have to manually

OK booting with apci=off sorts it out! Rather wish I had done this first now :) Come to think of it, when Dapper originally went onto this machine, it would not boot at all without apci=off, so I never saw the effect of the OS on the keyboard under these circumstances. Setting apci=off also
