I have Inpiron 14z DELL. lspci reports that I have: Ivy Bridge Graphics
Controller. Driver=i915. 64 bits CPU i7. I have BIOS A12. I have Ubuntu 12.04

I get the same error message trying to boot into ubutnu 11.10 on my dell
inspiron n7110. pci=noapci is a possible workaround, but it prevents me
from using or turning off the nvidia graphics card.
