When I set my wireless router (Linksys WRT54G) to channel 1, it shows up

Since roaming mode frequently decides to connect me to wireless networks
that I do not have permission to access, and my router doesn't show up
in the available network list (unless I set it to channel 1, which then
puts it in contention with about 12 other wireless routers),

1) fai kernel version != distro version. So endless, e.g. hda versus sda
trouble
2) fai softupdate does not work
So I would suggest for feisty update/backport fai to 3.2.1, instead of
spending time with the obsolete fai-kernels.

That does seem to have fixed it. I can now shut down, although there is
a wierd thing where the screen goes black halfway through shutdown, with
just a blinking cursor in the top left. after a while, it continues to

I get the same problem described by DanM for "sleep", and the same
problem described in the original post for hibernation (screen flicks on
an off). Hibernate worked fine in feisty. I'm running a realtime kernel,
but I was in feisty as well, and didn't have this problem.

The CD loads up to the initial menu.
As soon as I select "Install Ubuntu" the screen goes black. No signal is sent

got the same problem, i never see the panel and its windows after
reboot, i didnt try logout but i think it will do the same, only on
suspend with s2disk there is no problem (thats why i like suspending
more and more)
so hope this can be fixed before the gutsy release,
btw: upgraded to gutsy beta

Hi,
I have a brand new UPS, a MGE Ellipse MAX 1100, connected via USB. It
seems to cause long delays when loading the alternate CD and causes USB
errors to be printed during the boot.
I also suspect it might be giving me some suspend issues.
grepping kern.log for usb 1-1 o
Further: Disabling NAT in VMWare player seems to have fixed the issue.
It appears that I was not pinging my router at 192.168.1.1, but the
vmnet service.

That looks really weird. Daniel - the first diff looks correct, but the
second diff you have posted is odd. Are you sure you're comparing the
correct package? This line confuses me too:

The custom option is omitted from visual appearances as of 7.10-RC. It
does not appear until the user installs ccsm via add/remove or synaptic.
