tried to reboot to my amazement and joy it worked! Two updates later it
was broken again. :(

thanks for the report, comic cbz/cbr files are indeed zip or rar files
just renamed to that extension and there's no easy way to determine the
file extension and content for those files, and it's easier to rename
them. Since the support for cbz/cbr is not broken and renaming them
makes evince open

Did you recently have a suspend failure, this could have been some time
before the report was triggered and offered to you. If you did, did the
machine break while going to sleep, or while coming back from sleep? Is
this reproducible say over 10 cycles. Has suspend ever worked in the
past, if so
Usually, quirks are applied using the PCI ID (major computer vendors
have their own specific ID for the subsystem). In this case, both the
System and Subsystem IDs are 8086:27ae, which is the generic Intel one,
so disabling LVDS based on that will break all laptops with this
